2026-2027 Vision

New Beginnings

Following a two-year publication standstill, we choose to view

this moment as a unique structural opportunity. It is time to take

FLUX in a completely new direction. We are beginning from a

blank slate, committing to an institutional trajectory in which

curation, rigour, and unmatched ambition guide the review.

In alignment with our International Relations commitment, our

objective is to elevate FLUX to a new status. Through proactive

outreach and collaboration, we are positioning this review to

become a platform for academics from North America, Latin

America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond. We

are not only a review that publishes articles about the globe, but

that features voices from all around it.

We do not believe in arbitrary rules or fixed

quotas; we answer only to quality and ideas. If

an editorial cycle yields only three articles that

reach FLUX’s publication caliber, we will

publish an edition of exactly three articles. We

will never compromise our benchmark for the

sake of volume.

Finally, we believe deeply in interdisciplinary competencies and

unyielding individual character. As such, we invite you to stake

your claim within FLUX, irrespective of your background, primary

field of study, or role-specific experience. If you possess the

intrinsic drive to learn, and if you share this uncompromised

vision of what this review can achieve, you are the ideal

candidate to become a pioneer of this new endeavor.
